ICC INternational Certificate of Competence
If you are planning to skipper in Europe on a charter boat or on your own boat, you must have the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) This is a practical and written course and takes a full day for the experienced sailor. Depending on the individual's skills, additional time and courses may be required. European countries are very serious about having this qualification and checks are often done. The charge is $500.00 per person and the certification is valid for 5 years. Please contact us for more details at [email protected] or (902)-802-7730
COASTAL NAVIGATION COURSE
Once summer is over our thoughts will soon turn to putting our boats to bed for the winter. But this doesn’t have to signal the end of boating for the year. Why not join us one evening a week for an interesting, challenging and fun experience?
Our Coastal Navigation course is the perfect way to enhance your skills and interact with fellow enthusiasts. The course will teach you how to safely navigate in coastal and inland waters. We have also added an electronic component to the curriculum in light of the fact that most people today rely heavily on their electronic equipment. It is important to know how to navigate the “old fashion way” as electronics such as GSP are only one of the tools needed to be a good and safe navigator.
Time and location TBA
Any questions concerning the course and for registration please contact Judy Robertson, Sail Canada Advanced Cruising Instructor and IE and RYA Yacht Master Instructor at [email protected] or by phone at 902.802.7730
